He Spelled My Name Wrong On The Wedding Invitation

My husband always mispronounced my name. He’d explain, "Camelia’s too complicated. Milly works just as well. It’s our special shorthand." I assumed he was just being lazy and didn’t give it much thought. It wasn’t until our wedding day that I learned the name of his adopted sister. Her name was Milly. And the "special" nickname my husband had for me? Milly. As I watched him run after her, I finally understood—I'd been nothing more than a placeholder in his life.
