I Rejected My Alpha Mate

The day the Council of Elders put me on trial for being “unworthy of becoming Luna,” Alpha Roy gave the seat that should have belonged to me to his My Beloved, Ruby. Ruby cried and accused me of being jealous of her. Without hesitation, Roy ordered the Warriors to hold me down and forced me to accept the rejection in front of everyone. “Lila, after your father died, I was the one who took you in. The least you can do is show some gratitude.” My throat was filled with the taste of blood, and I almost laughed from the sheer absurdity of it all. Took me in? Three years ago, it was me who took the bullet laced with wolfsbane for him. I was also the one he secretly sent away to a rehabilitation facility afterward. I obediently finished reciting the oath of acceptance for the rejection. What he didn’t know was that, in just a little while, I would give him the biggest shock of his life—before disappearing from his world for good.
