The Sleeping Wolf, and the Me Who Woke

I spent three years in Greymoon Pack as the lowest Omega servant. I also loved Alpha Soren for three whole years. Late at night, whenever he lowered his head to kiss me, he would always say, "Wait a little longer. When the time is right, I'll make us public." I believed him ninety-nine times. On the night of the Full Moon Ceremony, he stood on the Moonstone in the center of the sacred forest and publicly announced his fated Luna. The one whose hand he held was my half-sister, Celeste. The wooden tray in my hands crashed to the ground and split in two.
